Experienced divorce mediator, Barry Davis has been a full-time mediator since 2003 and specializes in working with divorcing couples. His passion for helping couples through this difficult time, his extensive mediation and counseling training (including two advanced degrees) and his fifteen years as a businessperson, equip him to deal with both the practical and the emotional aspects of divorce.
A skilled mediator with over 700 hours of mediation training. Mediated more than 250 cases, including employment, family, personal injury, breach of contract, wrongful death and discrimination with 85% settling in the initial session.

The foundations of Barry’s divorce mediation training are his advanced degrees in Clinical Psychology (Pepperdine) and Conflict Management and Peacemaking (Fresno Pacific University). As part of the Clinical Psychology degree he provided over 500 hrs of counseling to both adults and children and during the Conflict Management and Peacemaking degree, he completed well over 200 hrs of direct mediation training and application and approximately 300 hrs of related training and research. In addition to this, Barry has also completed over 700 hrs of specific mediation training through organizations such as the Association for Family and Conciliation Courts, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the California Court of Appeal and the Southern California Mediation Association. He has also served as both a judge and mediator at American Bar Association Mediation Competitions and as a mediation coach in USC Law School courses.
Having traveled to over 30 countries throughout Asia, Africa and Latin America as well as conducting conflict management workshops in cultures as diverse as Thailand and Kenya, Barry has a great appreciation for the diverse perspectives, lifestyles and worldviews inherent in other cultures. He has seen first-hand the value of different viewpoints and approaches when it comes to working with people going through difficult experiences such as divorce. He brings this understanding to every divorce mediation, but especially to those involving individuals with a different cultural background.
